    The Joker

The Joker is a serial killer and a supervillain who dresses like a clown and commits violent crimes. He is a brilliant and ruthless criminal mastermind. His crimes are motivated by his sadistic desire to show people the meaninglessness of life through pain and death.

"There is no question about it: The Joker IS the best comic book villain of all time. The psychopathic Clown Prince of Darkness and Gotham's public enemy number 1 is insanity personified. He doesn't have an agenda: he just wants to see the world burn. And who can forget Heath Ledger's legendary portrayal of the Joker? "

Magneto is probably the most powerful mutant in the Marvel Universe and the X-Men's greatest foe. Born Max Eisenhardt, he was raised in Auschwitz and is a Holocaust survivor. He is capable of generating and controlling magnetic fields and metals.
    • Deng QianWritten on June 3, 2019
"Magneto is the best supervillain IMO. Max Eisenhardt (changed to Erik Lehnsherr in the movies) probably has the best storyline among all the X-Men. A Holocaust survivor, he sees his deeds as not necessarily evil but simply a way to defend his mutant brothers. Sometimes I even find myself rooting for him. Also, Ian McKellen will always be the best movie Magneto (sorry Michael Fassbender). "

Thanos is a supervillain in the Marvel Universe. He came from the planet of Titan and his abilities range from psychokinesis to superhuman strength. He has battled with many heroes including the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

    • Beatriz BarragánWritten on June 3, 2019
"Thanos is probably the most famous of Marvel villains right now. He's incredibly powerful and is a nihilist who wants to wipe out half of the universe for Death herself. Josh Brolin did a fantastic job bringing the Mad Titan to life in the Avenger movies. So sad we won't get to see the purple giant on the big screen anymore. "

    Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor is one of the most dangerously intelligent men on the planet - a super-villain. He is a brilliant scientist, a billionaire industrialist, and Superman's greatest enemy. He despises the Man of Steel from an ideological standpoint.

    • Anthony ContrerasWritten on June 3, 2019
"The best villain for the greatest superhero ever. He might be physically outmatched by Clark Kent, but that doesn't mean he's feeble. And if you see things his way he's actually just defending Earth from an alien super-force. Lex Luthor for me is the best-written and most multi-layered villain in the comic book canon. "

    • Nicole BarnettWritten on June 3, 2019
"Ah Loki. Where do I even begin? He's got charisma. He's got the charm. He's sexy as Hela (get it?) I worship the God of Mischief, and Mr. Hiddleston can impale me with his horns and I'll be like, "Thanks, daddy." "

    Doctor Doom

A Latverian Monarch, Doctor Doom was born a brilliant person named Victor von Doom. He is the Fantastic Four's greatest enemy. A technological genius, he spent much of his life studying both dark magic and science.

Galactus, whose real name is Galan, is a godlike supervillain and one of the main antagonists of the Marvel Universe. He is a dangerous entity who consumes entire planets to hold off his eternal hunger. If he dies, the entire universe will end.

    • Carlos Alberto BalderasWritten on June 3, 2019
"Galactus EATS planets! What comic book villain can bring forth destruction of such magnitude? Other villains simply pale in comparison. His appearance may be a little wacky but his power is immense. And he devours planets not because he's evil, but because he's just hungry. Can't really blame the dude, right? Munch munch! Crunch crunch! Galactus is here to eat lunch! "

    Green Goblin

The Green Goblin is the alias of a fictional supervillain in Marvel Comics and one of Spider-Man’s enemies. His real name is Norman Osborn. The Green Goblin is a Halloween-themed supervillain whose weapons resemble bats, ghosts and jack-o'-lanterns.

    • Bob MaWritten on June 3, 2019
"Green Goblin is the best comic book villain ever. Norman Osborn is the perfect match for Spiderman. He's deliciously evil whose madness has no bounds. In the comics, he created the Dark Avengers and turned S.H.I.E.L.D into the malevolent H.A.M.M.E.R. And he killed Gwen Stacy! Talk about diabolical. "
