"I suggest to everyone, with new and old builds alike, to use Open Hardware Monitor to monitor your system temperatures and voltages. This tool is easy to use, and allows you to display any of your system specs in both your system tray, or a simple on-screen gadget. I leave the gadget up in the corner of my second monitor all the time. Plus, its an open source application with no ads or bloatware packaged along with it! I like to keep an eye on my CPU and GPU temps, as you never know when something may go wrong!"

"This is a great add on for any computer geek! If you built your own computer as, I did, you are always concerned about the CPUs operating temperature. If you have advanced video cards or sound cards for playing video games this is a must. It will let you know if you have to add heat sinking or additional cooling fans. In my own circumstance I had to add a massive aluminum plate and two more fans just to maintain a non-destructive temp, the alternative is to start over after you have a meltdown. "

"Monitoring the heat output of your PC is more important than most people realize. This software shows the temperature your CPU is running at on older windows machines (Windows 7 was the last update). I’d look for newer apps on the market if you are running a newer machine, but this software will take care of your needs if it fits your software."
