The book 'And Then There were none shows me that Christie was a master of the Mystery and the book as a bit of Thriller in it with the killer stalking the guests in the book. I also like that book takes place in a mansion so that it allows me to imagine a lavish lifestyle, even though it is used for a killer to pluck off victims. Great book."

My only concern is that it seems like the main story takes place in a game, perhaps causing the reader to feel slightly disconnected. They know the main character is only in a virtual world, so her fate in the game would obviously not coexist with that of the real world. "

"A mystery book based around Lake Superior. The remote island of Isle Royale National Park provides the backdrop for deep water dives of sailing vessels. Anna, the protagonist, leaves Texas to her new home by the lake. When her routine application for a diving permit reveals a hideous murder, the plot takes a turn as Anna searches underwater for clues to solve the mystery. The book does a fantastic job answering the call of a crime and mystery thriller."

I eventually outgrew the franchise, but the other day I found one I had not read at a rental we stayed at for a few nights. Just a look at the cover made me grin and I couldn't resist cracking it open. And I got sucked in. It's not great literature by any standards, but for the genre, it's perfectly pleasant.
