"While this is an okay book, I was to find there were basically no scifi elements to it at all. Just plain old horror, Halloween/Jason/etc style. Keep that in mind when considering this. If that's no problem for you, this is a passable read."

"I have not read “The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress” by Robert A. Heinlein, although I have read lots of “dark” science fiction novels. I think it would be an interesting book to read from the review you posted, but I could also offer other ideas of “dark” science fiction that I cherish. I would recommend “A land fit for heroes” series by Richard Morgan. I would call it one of my best. “The legend of Zero” by Sara King is also something I would call a best “dark” science fiction. "
