Google Daydream is a virtual reality platform built into Android systems, specifically the "Nougat" version, or Android 7.1 and up.

Did you know that HTC is the manufacturer of Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL? Although marketed as a Google product back in 2016, HTC was the smartphones' contract manufacturers. In case you don't know, Pixel and Pixel XL were the first Android smartphones to have full support on Google Daydream. Also, the two were the very first non-Nexus smartphones by Google. It is also interesting to note that Nexus One, the very first of many Nexus phones, was also manufactured by HTC.

Although Google Pixel and Pixel XL were the first compatible phones, only a few have followed the lead. Some of the smartphones that can run the best Google Daydream apps are flagship devices, and some are not. Flagship phones include Samsung's S8 and S8+, and the newer Samsung S9 and S9+. Also included in the list of Daydream-ready phones are Google's very own Pixel phones, until Pixel 3. Motorola also had its share of Android phones that can run the best Daydream apps in moto Z and moto z² force. ASUS, Huawei, and ZTE had one each in ZenFone AR, Mate 9 Pro, and Axon 7, respectively. Whether you are a fan of VR apps and games, or not, you could admire the leap that Google has taken in virtual reality.
