"My friends and I are animated superhero fanatics and we always get together once a month to watch episodes. We were trying to watch all the best DC superhero series episodes and decide on watching at least some of the Batman series. I forgot how good this is. It's one, if not the best, animated DC series."

    #3Superman: The Animated Series

    Superman: The Animated Series

Superman: The Animated Series is an American animated television series based on the DC Comics's flagship character, Superman. It was one of the series that came following the success of Batman: The Animated Series. It was first aired in 1996 and tried to modernise and update a character like Superman, sometimes too naïve. It was produced by Bruce Timm as Batman and was highly acclaimed like its predecessor.  It has been considered by fans and critics as one of the best adaptations of Superman ever with an adult touch and a feeling and tone that goes back to the 40s cartoon and modern and mature themes.

"Batman Beyond is a fantastic animated series, but it is nowhere near the best DC animated series--or even Batman series. That distinction belongs to Batman: TAS, whereas beyond is a mere shadow in comparison."

"The New Batman Adventures takes a classic character and transports them into a very full and vibrant world. Batman is a bit different in this one, but still takes a page from his old self. Fans will love this version, and though it's not nearly as good as old series, it still holds its own."

"This was so good I read it in one sitting. Greg Rucka, who I love, combines mythology, political intrigue, and super-heroics into one fantastic book, my subsequent view of the character was heavily influenced by this. But it really feels like this is how Diana is supposed to be: fierce and strong and loving and willing to sacrifice everything to protect the innocents. This is a very powerful story and I love it."

"As odd as it is that The Hulk and Superman should meet in a comic and it not be considered a Marvel thing, this isn't actually as bad as it could be. I'm not a huge comic book fan, I enjoy the some of the stories and most of the movies but I'm don't consider myself to be all that knowledgeable. However, I found that the writing in this is very well done. All characters are represented extremely well and that fact that it seems to be done by and managed by DC almost doesn't matter. To wrap this up I read it, enjoyed it, and think that others would too, even those who consider themselves to be die hard aficionados."
