This is the best choice for measuring noise. I tried it to measure my Marshall speaker in my bedroom. It's clearly accurate.

On my android device I have the SPL Meter installed so I can check the sound level that is surrounding me. It's really useful when I want to record something and not have a lot of background noise, or have it come out all wonky sounding. I would recommend you try it and see how you like it. More

This is the best app on the market for measuring DB levels. I have had an outstanding experience with it and will continue to use it. It's super easy to work with and gives accurate results. Some people might think it's too simple but that is one of the things I like about it - it's not cluttered with unnecessary junk. More

deciBel is such a cool app. I can see how professionals would find it useful to not have to carry around a separate thing to measure sound levels, they can just use their phone. But I love it for more day to day things. Like when my husband says the "tv isn't that loud" and I can show him how far he's cranked it up (SO LOUD). Or when my boss said the construction in the office next door wasn't that bad, and I could show him how the noise levels had gradually been increasing. In short, it's a great way to win arguments about noise. More

We used this for my grandma. She's sensitive to sound so we need this to determine the noise meter. The app is pretty accurate and good.

I have found the Decibel meter Sound and Noise app to be very fun to use. I have noticed that around my mother it always tells me to get away when I'm around my mom and when I'm around other family members the meter is always reading on the low side. More

Just saw my musician cousin using this app to control the noise he makes in their garage. Tried it, so far so good esp if you're just a startup
