What are the best demonic anime?

"One of my favorite anime. It's dark but not too dark, and it has lots of hot women characters. Great visuals and costumes, great world building. It's got everything."

"It's ridiculous, over the top and understated - at once and all the time. It's a journey, taking its time with main characters and cycling through extras. It has fanservice, fantasy, comedy, mystery... I was pleasantly engaged from the start, gritted my teeth as I feared it wallowing in annoying claptrap, and relieved to find myself sitting back to trust in the series. Few fantasy series have done as well as this one. It is about a princess that is off to gather a legendary band of knights. These guys are way overpowered, and it's not a problem. They're interesting, with bad guys torn through in that sentai episodic fashion. So the series combines a lot of things; I imagine the creators just being told to bring knights and giants and fantastic fighting together - and they do it with enough smarts and fun that I was hooked again and again by different elements until I was completely won over."
