What are the best Disney princess movies?

In case you didn’t know, Walt Disney released Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs more than 80 years ago. And since it is their first-ever full-length animated film, Snow White is considered the oldest Disney Princess. Speaking of the princess, Disney is popularly known for creating movies that feature princesses as protagonists. In fact, their classic fairy tale interpretations are so good that when you think of an animated princess movie, you think of Disney. Aside from that, not only are they home to magical stories and happily ever afters, their films also teach important life lessons. This is why many parents and young viewers love Disney movies!

If you’re ever familiar with other Disney princesses films released in the 90s, you can see how Disney has managed to change their main characters over the past decades. Back in the old films, princesses like Snow White and Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty were portrayed as damsels in distress. On the other hand, new Disney princess movies portray women as brave, independent, and are capable of doing things that men can do. Hence, the portrayals of princesses are getting better, and this makes new films even more exciting to watch. Meanwhile, if you’re searching for movies with princesses, then you’ve come to the right place! Whether you’re looking for feel-good stories with happy endings or you simply want to meet some new Disney princesses, here is the list of movies you can watch today!

"They altered my childhood movie! Loved it growing up and wanted to watch the original Aladdin, but lyrics have been removed, script changed, and screens altered. Reasons offered claim it is for racist connections... Weird, I never once considered the color of the characters to be a meaningful impact on story. I watched it for the lore and catchy songs. Maybe I am falling behind in the times and I am instead suppose to pay more attention to people's color instead of the story they have to tell. If so, I'll gladly live in the past when a cartoon was simply a good way to spend 90 mins and not a topic for politically charged agendas."

"My daughter LOVES this movie. And I should say, if you have kids, you know how they watch movies they like over and over and over again until the tape wears out or the dvd player gives out. So as a parent, I know what I look for in a movie. Do I want to watch this one billion and a half times. Well, I've watched this twice that much and I'm still ok with it. Am I tired of it? Of course I am. But do I still occasionally laugh at it still and enjoy watching my daughter sing along and dance with it, you bet your icey behind I do. Great movie to own. Period."

"When I was a little girl, I wanted to be just like Ariel. Rewatching this, I have absolutely no idea why. Ariel is selfish, ignorant, and gets into trouble at the expense of others. However, the movie still stands up against the test of time. Disney films are timeless; even 29 years later, "The Little Mermaid" is still a paradigm of awesomeness. If you haven't seen this yet and like Disney Princesses, check it out for sure."

"I love this movie, I have watched it more times than I can count. I love the fairytale and Disney did an amazing job with this movie, only disney can turn a footstool into a dog character and make it believable. This has a great message, don't just a book by its cover"
