"We have come a long way in the last 60 years since this film was released. It's interesting to see what we knew about nature back then and how it has changed. I remember growing up and Pluto was a planet, and now it's not. I wonder what things in this movie have changed in modern times."

"An outstanding documentary on the natural wonders of the Earth, from the white mountainous peaks of Everest, the plains of the desert swept Sahara, and to the far southern grassy jungles of the Amazon. The cinematography is spectacular and jaw dropping, for the limited technology, since this was shot almost 25 years ago; the images stand the test of time and will inspire the viewer to travel and see this bountiful world with their own eyes."

"Loved it! My roommate, who is a huge fan of documentaries, celebrated his birthday last weekend and I was in need of a last minute gift. We watched all two hours of this film and could not have enjoyed it more. The aerial shots were simply draw dropping, but you may experience discomfort if you are afraid of heights. The voice of the narrator was quite soothing and even the content was heavily detailed oriented, but remained simple in the level of complexity. "

"This is a fairly good documentary that seems good for it's time. It was very informative and didn't make light of the situation South Africa was in like some other documentaries do. The only problem I had with the film was the negative light people were depicted in. This film seemed as though it was trying to be against racism while enforcing racial stereotypes. "
