"For the Love of a Dog is a pretty good book about dogs and relationships, but I'd say it is lacking as an overall dog training book in general. If you are looking just for insight into dog behavior, this is a good book to try out, but for training, not the best."

"Wonderful book! A lot of people think dog training is simply, "Sit" and "good boy" while giving a dog treats. This book proves them wrong. It gives insights into a dog's mind and reminds people that dogs can have the same types of emotions and mental disorders that us humans have."
