Did you know the "In My Feelings" Challenge was started by social media personality Shiggy? The viral dance challenge is not a planned thing. But it all started after Shiggy posted an Instagram video of himself dancing along to the song. That video has been viewed more than 7.7 million times. The Instagram personality credits NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. for creating the hashtag #DoTheShiggy, which helped the challenge go viral. The dance challenge is also popularly known as #InMyFeelingsChallenge as it spread like wildfire. In fact, the song "In My Feelings" wasn't even an official single in Drake's album Scorpion. Instead, the rapper wanted "God's Plan" and "Nice for What" to be his album's single. But, thanks to Shiggy, millions have heard "In My Feelings" and Drake got his sixth No. 1 one record on the Billboard Hot 100. It also became unexpectedly one of the most popular Drake songs. Moreover, the viral challenge had so much influence that it was even spotlighted in the official music video for "In My Feelings."
Although the #InMyFeelingsChallenge took the social media by storm, it has escalated to a dangerous level. Not only are people dancing to "In My Feelings," but there are some who are jumping out of moving cars and dancing in the middle of a street. Others have been injured trying to replicate the stunt. A few have been hit while dancing in the street. This resulted in police departments in the U.S and worldwide to issue warnings. They are warning against the trend and in some cases reprimanding those who take part in the extreme version. Indeed, "In My Feelings" is one of the best Drake songs we have ever heard.
