Cyberlink's PowerDVD is probably one of the most popular DVD decoders you have heard about. By the way, it's the classic DVD decoder you are probably are looking for, and it's also a movie & media player for home theater systems, video streaming, and virtual reality

"Cyberlink how you used to be needed for most dvd playback on computers. Boy have the times changed.. Cyberlink was great when I was a teenager but as time went on it got pushed to the side by newer programs with newer features. Would I still recommend Cyberlink, well maybe if your grandma needs a pc dvd player. Too me this software has become outdated. Give it a try and see how ancient it is."

"Love this app too and it's been on my iPhone for a while! Don't use it that much but it's great for several things in particular. It can play almost any format of video, and even better, you can control the speed of the video manually! So if you want to play a video in slow motion, or super fast, it's an awesome feature! Wish other video apps had this! Only thing keeping it from a 5 is it crashes once in a while!"

"I have to admit, I am not sure if Windows Media Player is able to decode DVDs. I have only used it as a media player, and think it does a fine job of that."
