"It is a good read for teenage kids. I like the idea of this book trying to bring out the individualism in kid and trying to be controlled by the community and the boys thought of seeing and knowing what the world would be like outside his very own community."

"The title itself caught my attention and the movie had just come out. I decided to give the book a shot before watching the movie, and I am so glad I did. I love mystery and adventure novels and this definitely had a fair share of both worlds. "

"I thought this was a great new take on the Cinderella fairy tale and I usually don't like retellings. I loved how Cinder had to navigate the bleak futuristic world in order to uncover the secrets of her past and save the world. Marissa Meyer successfully branched off from the classic fairy tale and created an incredible love story in a unique world. "

"Hmmm, I must say that this book is very interesting. However, it doesn't seem much like romance if the girl is only looking to lose her virginity and doesn't love the guy but reading further, I figured out why and it's because if she falls in love then she's scared of heartache. "

"I guess it’s a good book if you haven’t picked up a book in ten years? The Divergent series was always a blatant hunger games ripoff cashin, and this book lands at the point in the series where the author of The Hunger Games was running out of ideas, so that’s pretty much where we are now. The characters were never good, the plot and the world never made sense, and the whole thing always smelled of a halfassed money grab; these facets are worsened around the time Veronica Roth has to come up with her own ideas instead of ripping off Suzanne Collins, a far better writer. I had to read these books because my 12-year-old got really into the genre and reads them like popcorn. There are worse things he could be into – I’d rather have him read terrible books than play video games 12 hours a day – but please, if at all possible, just read The Hunger Games instead. If anyone out there has recommendations for the genre that aren’t terrible, hook me up with them, I need some new material for the kid before these books destroy his enthusiasm for reading. P.S. I'm giving this 1 star because a lot of the main characters die. It's the only good thing in the book. Don't worry, I didn't spoil anything valuable. "
