"The Leaf is a great car. Of course it's not a Tesla but for the price, it's awesome. It covers all the bases and is a truly electric car, rather than some hybrid sort of thing. Personally I don't like the look much, but that's more subjective."

Did you know that electric cars existed as far back as 1832? The re-emergence of environmentally friendly automobiles like Tesla Model 3 and Nissan Leaf make it seem like EVs were made to combat global warming. But in 1832, a Scottish inventor named Robert Anderson created the first electric vehicle - a carriage with non-rechargeable power cells. Almost two decades later, French physicist Gaston Plante invented a rechargeable battery for electric vehicles. The breakthrough led to the rise of EVs in the United States, where electric vehicles became taxis in Chicago and New York. Even famous inventor Thomas Edison dipped his feet in the business and developed a long-lasting battery for EVs in 1899. The trend would have continued but the failure of William Whitney's highly ambitious Electric Vehicle Company scared off other businessmen. Whitney's EVC had too many cars but had a small number of batteries, so the latter began to fail and it became costly to maintain.

Since the impact of global warming has been made clearer to the world, these non-gasoline automobiles are starting to regain the fame they had more than a century ago. In 2018, electric vehicles are starting to see a rise in sales, and prominent car manufacturers have begun to expand their production of EVs. This also led to a rise in the use of garage heaters since these specialized cars need different storage. These heaters help keep electrons in the batteries mobile enough so it would not affect the car's performance.

"An interesting design for the car. It seems a little boxy rather than sleek. The recharging is easy, but so far I can only charge at home which limits this car to short city drives. Only buy if you have another car for longer drives. "

"Christopher, that's for their diesel engines, not electric ones. :) The e-Golf is actually tested by other companies and it went really well. My father owns one, and you can say that it pulls like a regular car, amazing power even for an EV."
