WHAT'S THE MEANING?

Animoji is an emoji maker from the messaging app in Apple's iPhone X where you can animate a standard emoji. The feature uses facial motion capture to emulate the expression that you want to send.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that before animojis were even a thing, Snapchat did it first? Snapchat set the trend by featuring moving emoji stickers way back in 2016. The update allowed its users to add an emoji to their recorded video snap. In this innovation, you can also control where you want to place your sticker and how it moves on the video. In 2017, Snapchat introduced feature that integrates the app with Bitmoji. Bitmoji is one of those emoji maker apps that lets you create your own avatar and allows you to dress and use it to express yourself.

And as Apple released another mobile device from their world-renowned iPhone line, a new feature comes along with it. In that same year when Snapchat integrated Bitmoji, Apple introduced Animoji. What does this mean? Users don't need emoji apps for iPhone anymore, although they need to upgrade to the newer Apple phone. Samsung also followed the trend, but they are months late against Apple though. When Samsung released Galaxy S9 in early 2018, they unveiled a feature that fused Augmented Reality, or AR, with emojis. All these improvements in technology makes living easier that it slowly defeats the purpose of emoji apps.
