"I've been looking for the best Excel tutorials since I'm learning Excel and taking a class on it at school. I found Excel Easy and I honestly do not like it very much. The sections are not broken up properly and nothing is organized well at all on the website. It's hard to find the information I want to look up. It hurts my eyes to read the pages, too. You are much better off watching videos on YouTube, since that's more visual. There's just too much text in the tutorials and not enough examples. I don't recommend this."

"I started out with only basic knowledge of Excel. After viewing ExcelIsFun videos for a half hour each day for the past few weeks, I can say that my knowledge of Excel has increased significantly. The simple Excel Basics series within the videos helped to reinforce the basics I already knew while the Excel Magic Tricks series helped me put into practice some Excel tricks that wowed my coworkers who consider themselves Excel black Belts. I would strongly recommend this video series."

"This is definitely useful! I mean, we can all Google Excel tips and tricks or try to find the answer to some question we're facing immediately, but this handy app just keeps a whole lot of information in one place, just waiting for those free moments. I've already gone from being the guy in the office who asks everyone for help in Excel to the guy in the office who winds up doing all of the Excel work because no one else knows what he's talking about when he starts babbling about pivot tables and Visual Basic."

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that Excel was originally called Multiplan? The spreadsheet program by Microsoft was released for Macintosh computers and was successful against VisiCalc, which was the first ever spreadsheet program. However, even though over a million copies of Multiplan was sold, it lost against another competitor, Lotus 1-2-3. Lotus 1-2-3- was a program by IBM, and it was the main trigger for IBM’s success in the 1980s. In 1985, Microsoft rose up to the challenge and upgraded and rebranded Multiplan into Excel, because it “excelled” over Lotus 1-2-3. Software development for Excel 1.0 was done by a team of only four people, including the lead developer Douglas Klunder.

Along with Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel has been part and parcel of Microsoft Office since the first version of the suite was released in 1990. By 1996, Excel had 30 million users. At present, Excel has 750 million active users worldwide, making it the most used Microsoft application after Word and PowerPoint. Microsoft Excel is used the most by business enterprises, as it is this sector that needs Excel’s number crunching capabilities the most. The latest version of Excel, Excel 16.0, has over 400 executable commands and functions in 11 categories. This, and the fact that Excel is now available for mobile platforms, is a big advantage over its other competitors such as Numbers by Apple and Google Sheets.

"I think it's a good sum of different sum formulas you can use to become better at excel. How each sum formula works and can be used is very well explained. It would be nice to maybe have a little video explaining it also. Having a video would make it so people can watch and see how they work. I still think it's a good explanation. "

"I had used Excel in college helping a university professor with her research. But after not having used it in 2 decades I had forgotten the basics. I wanted to learn how to make spreadsheets at home to keep track of expenses and other things. I opened Excel on my own thinking i could just suddenly have everything I used to know come back. I was wrong. It was not easy figuring it out for myself. Using video tutorials on YouTube was a great way to learn how to use Excel again. I was able to learn on my own time, with no need to actually go out of the house and pay for a course. Plus, there are so many channels to choose from, it makes finding a great tutorial easy. I totally think that these videos are priceless and saved me hours of agonizing over my computer."

"This is little more than a collection of youtube videos. The overall content isn't terrible. But the presentation and the lack of explaining anything mentioned in the videos in text is a huge draw back. The site has basically the same teaching potential as what you'd get by typing in excel tutorials into the youtube search bar."
