What are the best extremely disturbing horror movies?

Topping our list of the most extremely disturbing horror movies is, of course, Ruggero Deodato's 1980 creation Cannibal Holocaust; Gore lovers would find delight in the film's depiction of human cannibalism and it includes the how-tos of eating a human being, set in the Amazon rainforest. If cannibal films tickle your fancy, The Green Inferno by Eli Roth also made it to the roster of our list of gruesome films. Yet, a quick detour to the city where the Eiffel Tower lives will take us to Paris where the 2002 french horror-drama film Irreversible took place; Since horror movies are not entirely about ghosts, real-life terror stemming from watching a woman gets raped and tortured to death by some random group of guys in the most unlikely of places, say in a pedestrian underpass makes Irreversible even scarier. - #1July 4, 2018"now this is a legendary franchise! insidious is a work of art from cinematography to sound editing to the levels of acting that the artistse gave away for this film. I was a bit suerprised taht this got the last spot on the list but then again, it was hauntingly creative and disturbing. I'd recommend this and the rest of sequels to thrill-seekers out there."

Funny Games is a remarkable, heart-stopping movie. Plus, i was not able to sleep for days after watching it. It was so intense I have to call my younger brother to stay with me in the room!!!"
