"I am not one for romance (just talk to my ex-wife for five minutes), but this was a well done effort in the genre. I love new renditions of old fairy tales. This one updates the classic Beauty and the Beast story with a more feminist bend, but not in the negative current movement way. It's charming and delightful. Fun for all ages."

"I love fairytale stories, I also love romance stories. I had I hopes for this book when I bought it. As I read through it, I noticed I wasn't enjoying it as much as I should. The best way I can describe this experience is somewhat boring. Its not the worst, as i have read much worse books, but its far from the best. "

"This novel is set on the high seas in the early 1800s. It features the main character Elizabeth Bennet and her adventures on the ship named Pemberley's Promise. The rich descriptive text really allows the reader to feel they are on a ship sailing across the Atlantic. It seems these voyages were not the most comfortable voyages. "

Her father held her responsible for the death and couldn't deal with her. Years later a new marriage caused the arrival of a step-mother and two step-sisters and you know where it goes from there."
