"This is not a good solution for the above represented topic. The Yearling is not a fantasy or Science Fiction book. In addition, it is not set in India, but rather years past in the American South (Florida to be exact). It is a wonderful book, but does not fit the above outlined topic. "

"It is 2040 A.D. The place is Pune, India. The future is here and now. Liquid computers. Flawless skin. Emotional cars. Illusion pods. It's a world full of tough questions and infinite possibilities. Why are Tara's new friends, Francis and Ria, so freaked out by the night sky? Is there strange and beautiful mother, Mandira, friend or foe? Where is their father? Is he a terrorist or genius? And what, exactly, is the beast with nine billion feet? As Tara and Aditya soon find out, there are no simple answers. They find themselves on very different tracks, caught up in a deadly game-- a struggle for power and control, a fight for the genetic code to life itself. In the 'here and now' of Anil Menon's brilliant and disturbing debut novel, the future itself is at stake."

"This book follows young people as they find their newly found powers. It allows us to follow and wonder what might happen if suddenly there were superheroes in our world. It was an easy read, and ok, but misses something along the way."

"Some of the stories in this book weren't great, but overall it was a good read and I'm glad I got it. There was nothing really incredible here, but there were at least one or two stories that felt really solid and well thought out. The few that I found boring weren't really bad, just predictable."

"After reading over the plot, I do think "River of Gods" does seem like it quite be interesting, however, the somewhat mixed reviews makes me question that. I think a story like this could be a bit more amusing if it were a film adaption as opposed to a book. I am also not a huge fan of the amnesia story, as I feel it is slightly overplayed."
