DID YOU KNOW?

In the manga of Fullmetal Alchemist, there's a panel dedicated to those who passed away in each volume. The manga author Hiromu Arakawa is behind the panel "In Memoriam". The anime and manga have many characters that get killed off that's why the Arakawa pays tribute to them. Fullmetal Alchemist also has two of the most heartbreaking anime deaths of all time. The artist would illustrate them in the "In Memoriam" box. This section is for those deceased characters shown rising to heaven. So far, only one character gets dragged to Hell. In an instance where no one dies in the volume, the panel remains blank. Although a blank panel only occurred six times throughout the series. On the last volume, Arakawa put the message “Spoiler prevention in effect for the final volume,”. This urged readers to finish reading the manga.

The Fullmetal Alchemist manga was successful that it got two completed anime series. It's not an easy feat to get an anime adaptation for a manga. More especially two series at that. The fantasy anime Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the few that got a bunch of episodes. The second series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was closer to the manga's story. It was a wide success despite being only five years apart from the first adaptation. Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the big leagues of shonen anime. Along with popular anime like Naruto and One Piece. Aside from a famous manga and anime, Fullmetal Alchemist also has a live-action movie. If you're a fan of fantasy anime, Fullmetal Alchemist is one you shouldn't miss.
