"No, no, no, no, and no. I'm not sure why I never got into Tolkiens' books, I just don't find the subject interesting. I really enjoy the Shadow of Mordor video games, but that's because they're good action games; the lore is a bore. Some people swear by this series, I say "meh.""

"If you are familiar with the Lord of the Rings series, you are likely familiar with the concept of this book. It's very different from the other books by J.R.R. Tolkien, but adds a fantastic amount to the rich history of Tolkien's world. It does have an unfinished feel (because it was), but it will forever change your understanding of Middle Earth."

"It was quite interesting. The book presents us with the richest profusion of new lands and new creatures, from the beauty of Lothlorien to the horror of Mordor, adventures to hold us spell-bound, and words of beauty and evocation to bring all vividly before us.The original novel of course is much slower paced; but that not a bad thing, it just was not written as a screen play."

"The Chronicles of Narnia became quite popular especially among the teens/YA after the successful movies but the books are also quite popular. The first book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is also special since it introduce a whole new world to us with all these awesome characters. I may consider the book as one of the best fantasy books of the 20th century but it is hard to decided whether it is the one."

"I am not normally a fan of short fiction but I really love this book. Mr. Bacigalupi manages, in just a few pages, to create an engaging and intriguing story with a bit of spine tingling as an added bonus. His wonderfully acute social commentary and willingness to explore the margins of human behavior gives his work a level of integrity rarely matched in the world of fiction or non-fiction. These stories have stuck with me for weeks after reading them, providing a rich insight and perspective into many aspects of life. I look forward to the next collection."
