"I really enjoyed this book even though the series gets pretty weird. This novel starts the story and really gets into the lives of our heroes. The best book in the series always seems to be the first."

"This book wasn't quite what I was expecting. I was led to believe that a character had to deal with addiction in the story, but quickly realized that this was not the case. The characters faced other hardships, but no addiction. I still found it a fun read despite my initial confusion."

"I bought this book for my son and he hated it! After reading it myself I find it easy to see why! This book is filth, and the author should be ashamed. Pure drug propaganda. Not for those in touch with themselves and with god."

"A book that is on topic in today's time. There is a serious problem with drugs at the moment and this gives you a glimpse into a time when there was a problem with drugs and drug addiction in the past. It might be a helpful read even for someone who loves someone that is addicted to drugs."

"I grew up in the 60's and have been around pot smokers my entire life. This book is a good telling of its story. Honestly, I've never understood the big crime with smoking weed, not to mention the medicinal remedies that could be had. Smoke Signals is an honest look at the product and a very good book to get an understanding of the ups and downs of what could be a wonder drug. "

"As somebody who has dealt with addiction in the past, I always try to help relate my experience to others through fiction. With The Samana Incident, I felt that this book was more focused on the aspect of stopping drug deals than it was about addiction. While there are story elements of drug addiction, the book lacked central narrative discussing the impact that drug addiction had on others. "
