"I have never found myself facing a true natural disaster(little earthquakes do not count)and was actually moved by the sense of danger I felt when reading Peg Kehret's Escaping the Giant Wave. The book is fast paced and interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters exhibit just the right amount of bravery and perseverance to make the book realistic while still being entertaining. "

"I do not believe Quake was a book, as it is a well known game. Also, Quake is not about a natural disaster so this solution does not work in the least. It is, however, a great game everyone should play at least once. "

"Island of the Lost tells the story of two shipwrecks on Auckland Island. Both occured on the same period of time, but while a crew managed to overcome adversities and built a comunity, the other set of people became cannibals. An interesting story that could be even better if it wasn't for the too detailed descriptions and slow pace. It's still a great read. "
