"Personally, I find books about the lives of people during World War 2 so fascinating. I enjoy both fiction and non fiction stories in the Nazi Germany genre. The Nightingale: A Novel is truly an amazing story of love and strength in the face of war. It's obvious to why it's a New York Times #1 Bestseller and it's soon to become a major motion picture. "

    #4My Father Bleeds History (Maus)

    My Father Bleeds History (Maus)

Possibly the most original way to understand and explain the holocaust and the Nazis prosecution against the Jews. A brutal graphic novel over a real story where the jews are wide-eyed mice and the Nazis are menacing cats.

"Great book. I'm obsessed with documentaries about nazis, so I figured I'd try reading a book for a change. A comic-like book makes it even better. Awesome pictures."

"I was a bit haunted by this book. I really can't say that I enjoyed it because it was too disturbing and seemed to want to make the reader feel guilty. I just wasn't crazy about the characters either and thought the whole book was a bit of a downer. I almost did not finish it, but I plowed through just so I could see how it ended. This was an Oprah's book club selection and I guess I just felt a little disappointed in it. "

"This book is definitely one of those sleeper best-sellers in my opinion. While it is based on upon fiction, the storyline leads you to believe that it's something actually happened because of the great detail put into the plot line. If you're a fan of World War II era novels, I would highly recommend purchasing this book. I gave a copy to my father and he hasn't stopped reading it since."

"An interesting novel, but I would definitely not classify it as a fiction book about Nazi Germany in the traditional sense. Yes, parts of it take place in it, but it's definitely not what you would expect a book about Germany to be. It's not at all about Nazis or Hitler or anything along those lines, the setting is just Nazi Germany."

"Siegfried: A Black Idyll is a book by Harry Muslisch is a book that takes a bit of time to fall in love with but hang in there it gets great. The book is like a slow movie that continues to excel until the fantastic thrilling finale. The read is worth every second and for fast readers is no problem at all. Smartly written and insightful story. "

"This is not a book that I would place in the category. There are far too many more compelling books that one can read on this subject matter. This book does contain a great story. One that is very uplifting and would be a good read for children and adults as well. Its just not the best in this category. "
