"I read this book after seeing the movie a few years ago and neither were very good. I thought I'd get a better understanding of some of the hidden meanings or find more interest in the characters but both were disappointing. I've read other books by this author so I was surprised this was such a flop."

"This was the first book I ever picked out at the library and it opened my world to reading like I had never thought possible. Before this book I hated reading. Having dyslexia made it hard to read aloud and children can be mean. It was the worst part of school. Alanna made her into my heart and captivated me. I memorized every word until I could read it out loud as if I had no learning disabilities whatsoever. Soon I realized if I could do it with one book I could do it with every book. And so my love of reading began. Now I write my own books. You have no idea how much this book and all of your others have meant to me. Thank you"

"When you first read the description you feel lost and don't even know if you want the answers to the questions that are being posed. Well if you are a teen or enjoy things targeted at the teen audience you will be pleasantly surprised."

"This book is rich in accurate historical settings and in beautiful cultural and philosophical themes. I became very attached to the main characters throuch Pantovic's writing style and was fully encapsulated by the story line. It's something so different but yet so very good."

"I never understood the attraction to paganism, so I thought I would try to read a little about it. The White Queen by Phillippa Gregory seemed like a good place to start. However, after the first couple chapters, I never took it back off the shelf. It is just unrelatable and uninteresting to me. I'm not a fan of the books content or writing style. "
