"This book is part of a series, focused on the owners of a bead and breakfast. This is exactly what I'm looking for. The story here seems quaint but also very relatable, and intriguing in its pace and writing. This series also appears to be quite popular, and user reviews are extremely positive, meaning this should be one of the best choices of novel about this subject matter."

"I didn't particularly enjoy this book because I felt that it was very predictable. Even with all of the cheating and betrayal going on, I still felt myself growing bored after being able to correctly guess what was going to happen. All of the events that occur in the bed & breakfast start off exciting but ultimately end in a predictable fashion."

"This is a cozy historical romance, according to the category I found it in. After reading through it, I think it really just needs to be in plain old romance. The historical period portion is a token effort, at best. A few mentions of sailing ships, of horse drawn carts and the like, but the characters could be transplanted right into a modern soap opera with only a few words needing to be changed out. Otherwise, this is a CW show without superheroes, written down. As a historical fiction fan, I was really offended and simply had to return this immediately."
