"A man follows the footsteps of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket, the one and only novel Edgar Allen Poe wrote. He traces it on and on. If you have read Poe's book, this is a must read."

"I feel that this book doesn't really address nor include Edgar Allen Poe in any significant way. It is a fictional story, but one featuring Poe, it is not. "

"An impressive recreation of the late lives of five famous authors, Wild Nights! does seem to go a little too far at times and some people may think the story is a little much. I still enjoyed the book but it helps to keep things in perspective."

"This is perfect. This book is exactly what I want, featuring Edgar Allen Poe himself as the central character. This seems like a fun and whimsical tale, with familiar characters, such as Poe himself and PT Barnum, with a unique twist on the mystery genre."

"I didn't like this book at all. Despite it's popularity, it's a bit of a dull read. I thought that the author was trying to make Poe out to be dark and edgy because of his stories when that's not necessarily how he was portrayed in real life. People who write scary stories don't need to be depressed themselves, just ask Stephen King. "

"Poe has always been one of my favorite authors. He's dark, dreary, and deep so I was excited to read this book. This book does feature Poe as detective who helps a little boy find his missing mother. While, I don't think this book was completely unfair to Poe and his character, I think it portrays him very negatively. It make him quite disliked as a character in my opinion. I would give this book a pass especially if you've never read other books about or by Poe. There are better books out there."
