"Even though we live in the age of digital cameras and the film days are long gone, some people prefer the traditional filmmaking with the actual films and Olympus OM-1 is truly a nice device for these individuals. It's not very expensive and comes with a 50mm lens which is not super wide angle and not telephoto either, it is somewhere in between and perfect for general filming - good choice for beginners. "

"The best is sort of hard to determine. I must say that this is a good idea for a mirrorless digital camera. Needs some work on the simplified auto mode but I can see the potential in this one!"

"The Pentax Asahi K1000 is the ideal film cameras for a beginner. It's quite a fascinating camera that is no longer being manufactured. I think it's pretty neat that you don't need batteries and I actually like the manual focus. From what I understand, it works mechanically. It's really a fun camera to use and I've gotten excellent results with it!"

"The student's perfect camera. It uses ALL of the Nikon F-mount lens. Its rugged. Its mechanical. Film cameras are an art tool now, and this model brings to a dedicated art student all of the controls necessary for them to learn about the skills that a film photographer must have "
