"This is an interesting book about finance and has valuable information for those willing to receive it. It's not specifically a book about retirement planning, and while anything that helps people with their money does serve that end, I do think there are better books out there. If you're on a larger financial quest and not just looking for the one best book to do all the guiding, I think this is a useful addition to one's library."

"This has a lot of really great concepts, but it's definitely not light reading. There's so much time spent on examples it actually backfires, and I would have appreciated a more tl;dr approach (or at least that kind of summary somewhere)."

"This is a New York's Best seller book on how to plan for retirement and build your future on wealth. I believe everyone should attempt to read one of these books and plan accordingly. We aren't guaranteed social security at all and therefore need to take the ropes and set up ourselves for a great retirement. While it is a bit on the pricier side, it is very much an investment."

"Swedroe's book seems to be universally praised by readers who wish to know more about investing in their future. I believe that anyone who takes the time to attempt to make investing clearer to the common person is working toward the greater good and certainly deserves respect and admiration. Instead of being a dry and uninteresting explanation of retirement investing, Swedroe uses a series of tales to inspire the reader to rethink something that should be a priority for all Americans."

"If your looking for a book regarding retirement planning, this book does an o.k. job in that area. There seems to be more information about the authors life in general, so I found the book wasn't as informative as some other options. That said, the author does have a solid background as he worked with Smith Barney and he does have loads of experience, so the book isn't a total waste. I found that the book does have some decent information regarding retirement planning, just not as much as one would like. "

"This was a fascinating look at how the brain processes risk and how people make financial decisions! It's not really a guide to retirement planning, but it's probably a helpful read for anyone who is making financial decisions about retirement. Still, this isn't a how-to guide for retirement planners."
