"13 Assassins should have been better than it actually is. It is still entertaining but I think that it could've been improved."

"Original is much better than the remake. Despite the taboo subject matter which did surprise me; the actors and action were fun to watch. As much as I enjoy Josh Brolin, I did not fine the new version as climatic"

"One of the best compliments you can pay to a foreign film is for its ability to transcend borders and oceans and still be relatable. I can watch this movie so long after it came out and identify or knew people growing up who were similar to characters portrayed. It's an incredibly disheartening film, but that gives it all the more reason to be viewed. Films like this, domestic or foreign, don't come around very often."
