"Forgotten Realms tells a tale of mystical, magical place where the characters use dragons to conquer and slay their foes. The first in a line of trilogies, this book sets up the main characters quest to avenge his town from the murderous onslaught of treacherous witches. It brings suspense and drama when the action starts, and leaves you laughing when the charismatic characters have some down time."

"This is one of the many Forgotten Realms novel. It is the first one which was not one of the more critically acclaimed ones, so this is probably one of the more forgettable ones in the series. However, if you feel that you have to read this one before reading subsequent ones, it is a great start."

"What a great book! I really felt as if I was lifted from Earth into another realm of fantasy, evil cults, talking squirrels, and funny wizards. I needed a change from my everyday reading, and this book was exactly what I was looking for. I'm not super into science fiction, but this was fun. I liked the plot, it was easy to read and not too technical for me to follow. I love how everyone came together to regain the forest. Overall, it was a great book. "

"Its an 'okay' book. Interesting enough, but sometimes the plot was a bit convoluted. I was able to read it through though, even with the 'poetic' writing style of the author. "
