"I would believe by the amount of reviews and the amount of stars this book has that it is not of the best Franz Kafka books. It also looks intriguing."

    #2Letters To Felice

    Letters To Felice
After meeting Felice Bauer at his friend's house, Franz Kafka started sending her letters very regularly, even twice a day. As they lived in different cities that was the only way they could know about each other. Some months later, they were engaged, but Kafka feared that would diminish his writing career. After their break-up, they started sending each other letters again, right before tuberculosis claimed his life.

Kafka's first published book is composed of eighteen poems complimented by eighteen illustrations. Despite being standalone creations, the whole set of poems is able to display the metaphorical style of Kafka more clearly.

"I purchased Contemplation because it was Franz Kafka's first book and most author's first pieces are the most enjoyable. However, I was a little disappointed in both the illustrations and the style of writing in these poems. I'll be passing this one on as a gift for someone else to enjoy because one read was enough."

    #5Letters to Milena

    Letters to Milena
Even though he does not say his name in any of the letters, this is a collection of the letters Franz Kafka sent to Milena Jesenska, his 23-years old Czech translator who was able to recognize that Kafka was a genius and who was described by him as a 'living fire'.

"Interesting. If you want more insight into the (rather sad) life of Kafka, then this is for you. I found it moving and informative. He had an unusual sense of humor and a very articulate and charming way about him. Definitely letting strangeness show through, but I guess that showed in everything he did."

" I like the way it describes the theme of the book and at the same time leaves an intrigue about what is going to happen to the main character of the book. The writer is a very renowned author and that is enough."

"My best friend is a big fan of the author Franz Kafka. Together, we searched for the best Franz Kafka books and wound up finding the book "Amerika". It was a title that we that we would love, as we both like Kafka and his writing style. Unfortunately for my friend, as he read the book he was extremely disappointed. The book didn't live up to the hype and failed to impress us. I would recommend finding a different book by Kafka."
