"I have seen this book in particular being sold as a free purchase one time, I may have missed that deal because this book definitely got a lot of praises and gained a lot of loyal fans added to its already huge fan base. I would consider this one to be one o the best that became free one time from Smashwords simply because it already got a movie adaptation years back."

"What a fun, epic story! I liked the series from the start and got into it really rapidly. I wasn't even expecting to like it, I mean look at the cover art... But it's really well written, and the plots are diabolical in their complexity and twists. And the characters are deep, believable (although of course, given the genre, a little suspension of disbelief is necessary). And the ending is so satisfying it made me want to go back in time to when I was just starting the journey!"

"A slow-moving read at first but turned out to be a beautiful story. I feel the author did wonderfully with the character descriptions and stories. My favorite was the tale of the forest people and how the main character befriended them. "

"The Selection is a bit of weird book; I found the gender politics a bit retrograde. I wish it had deconstructed some of the rules of the world a bit more. As it is, the female characters all felt empty to me and without any real motivation of their own."
