"Divergent is a great option for people who enjoyed the Hunger Games. Divergent is probably one of the easier novels to draw similarities between real life and the characters because there is more to it than just a dark futuristic setting filled with poverty or a constant struggle. The novel is definitely better than the movie, which is also good in it's own right."

"Not for Linnea Sinclair the spiffy, cutting edge man-machine futures of Ken MacLeod, Greg Egan or Charles Stross. C.J. Cherryh and Lois McMaster Bujold are Sinclair's obvious SFnal antecedents. (In particular, the opening scenes of Finders Keepers directly reference Shards of Honor.) the novel touch the people heart who deceive by some one."

"In some ways the main characters (Sirantha Jax and March) are straight out of central casting, and a bit passe. But that is a minor detraction in what is a well imagined novel with a smart and sassy heroine. There has been a glut of fantasy heroines in recent years, but Sirantha holds her own as a worthy protagonist with a story to live and tell."

"Song of Scarabaeus is a futuristic science fiction novel. The characters were very well polished, and the story had a great deal of depth. From a kidnapping that lands a girl onto an unexplored planet, things take more of a negative tone and it left me wondering what would happen next, as the story line progressed. There are multiple plots that lead together that really got me into the story."

"An interest concept of romance between two troubled people. The abuse documented can be hard to reach and get through at time, but it is a vital part of the book and adds a depth to the romance that would not otherwise be there. This is alongside a great adventure with an interest group of good and bad guys."

"If you're looking for a romance novel, but find both present day and historical settings to be getting old, why not try the future? Games of Command fits the bill, it's a passionate love story set on a spaceship in the distant future. The books is really well written, and I found the futuristic setting made it more enjoyable than a contemporary romance novel. "

"One word: meh. It's clearly a rip off of the Hunger Games. A CLEAR rip off. The entire plot, the female protagonist, the sections, the fighting, all of it. That being said, if you're into this genre it'll do it's job. It's nowhere near as good but if you need to fulfill your desires of reading futuristic books with a female lead and you've read all the Hunger Games books three times over, sure, read this one."

"The Hunger Games have been a popular culture juggernaut, and for good reason. This is the second book in the series and focuses on a "gladiatorial love triangle" that explores how love can bloom in a truly hopeless place. The juxtaposition of the bleak vision of humanities future and the candor of youthful affection is truly inspiring."

"My two favorite genres of books are science fiction and romance as weird as that may seem. Browsing suggested books for me I came across this I thought to myself , wow a book that hits both my main interests. Let me tell you what , it did just that. I never imagined the two genres being able to meet together so well. The author did an amazing job of both peeking my science fiction interest while telling a beautiful love story. I would love to see this turned into a movie. The author did an amazing job of captivating the reader and painting a vivid image through words."
