What are the best games with character creation on Android?

Character creation (also referred to as character generation or character design) is the process of defining a character in a game. In this process, you would usually choose a character based on a pre-defined set of individual strengths and weaknesses. They are represented by number or "stats" that we would use as a basis to pick a character that fits with our preference and playstyle. Games that are mostly fictional would also throw in race and class into the mix. Character creation is typically the first step to take when starting a new game or playthrough. This whole process can be simplistic in nature or incredibly detailed and meticulous. Aside from defining your character based on stats, you can also delve deeper into the visual aspect of it as well. It's physical appearance, personality, back-story, and even its voice, it's all fair game.

That's a lot to take in, isn't it? That's just creating a character and there's no actual gameplay involved yet at this stage. Some times though, it does play a part in how your character's story and development progress as you go along. How you may ask? Remember that bit about race and class in the beginning? Well, that will define your character's skills and abilities specific to its race or class only. This, in effect, can limit how you play through the game. That is why it's important to choose the best one for you or else you'll end up having to start all over again. So, are you ready to create your perfect game character? Good, because we've made a list of mobile games where you can customize your character below. Check out some of the best games with character creation on Android and start playing.

DID YOU KNOW?

Before mobile character creation games were even popular in the gaming industry, people already reinvented themselves through cosplaying. The term “cosplay” came from a Japanese recreation of the English words costume and play. The term was coined by Nobuyuki Takahashi of Studio Hard. He had invented such term after attending the 1984 World Science Fiction Convention in Los Angeles after he saw costumed fans. Shortly after that, he wrote an article about his experience for the Japanese magazine My Anime. That event is pointed to be the start of ‘cosplaying’ as most of us know.

Cosplaying has been worldly-renowned ever since. The most popular form of presenting a cosplay publicly is by wearing it to a fan convention. And take note, this is a serious business and some people travel miles and miles, and even take the time to make costumes. Some even buy them from the best cosplay websites for an expensive price! Cosplay fans have attended the San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic Con in the United States, and the anime-specific Anime North in Toronto. Those events are considered to be the most attended cosplays in North America alone. Yet, the single largest cosplaying event is the semiannual Comic Market (Comiket) held in Japan during summer and winter. Such event attracts thousands of anime and manga fans who participate in cosplaying. Luckily for non-cosplayers, there are different apps with character creation that can be tried to experience reinventing one’s self. These games with character creation are available in different gaming platforms for your gaming pleasure.

"This game is one of my go-to Android games. I was so skeptical at first because of the reviews but I finally caved one day when I saw my friend playing it. I actually played the first game and didn't think much of it, but this 2nd game is just on a different level entirely. It's amazing how much improved from the gameplay to the character customization. 4 stars for me!"

"If you're a Star Wars fan, then, this is a no-brainer. You're probably playing this game already. For those new to the franchise of curious about it, know that this is a solid game in general. The story might be a bit confusing to follow but the gameplay, loot, and customization options are all good. Give it a try."

"IDK where I went wrong with this game, it's full of weird-speaking Asians who always speak their own language despite everyone around them speaking English! Other than that though, the game is perfect and it fits well with the setting along with the rather simple chara creation feature and vanity armor"

"What a cool game! The characters here are small and cute and the graphics match it perfectly. I was surprised that this game had decent character customization as well. It's a really good game if you like RPGs without the commitment of going online. "
