"This app has the potential to go far, should it not become greedy. Definitely room for improvement though, like hiv/aids status, but so far I like it. New guys I've never seen in my area, that for some reason are way hotter than Grindr guys. "

"Grindr is an app for either your iphone or android that gives you a dedicated place to meet up with other gay or bi men. You can use the free account and it works pretty well, but for the best features you'll want to upgrade to a paid account."

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that the rainbow flag commonly associated with the LGBT movement symbolizes sex, life, healing, sunlight, nature, art, serenity, and spirit? That's right, each color, from red to violent, symbolizes those given traits in order. The flag was designed by Gilbert Baker, also known as "The Gay Betsy Ross". Although the original design had eight stripes, the hot pink, the color for sex, was soon removed due to the scarcity of the fabric color. Moreover, the assassination of gay San Francisco City Supervisor Harvey Milk resulted in the soar of the rainbow flag's demand, forcing the Paramount Flag Company to sell a version of the flag using the regular rainbow fabric with only seven stripes. It wasn't until 1979 until the flag was modified once again when the center stripe would be obscured by the lampposts after being hung vertically. Due to this, the turquoise was dropped, resulting in the 6-striped flag that we know today.

It comes without a doubt that the fight for LGBT rights has come a long way, and the number of gay chat rooms, organizations, activists, and many other supporting elements prove this point. Nowadays, the LGBT community is a lot more accepted than it was in the past, and its members are enjoying the amount of freedom as every citizen should have. Additionally, plenty of gay dating sites and apps are gaining popularity on the internet, as well as forums where members of the community can interact with each other.

"While I've never used Jack'd or even heard of it, over 100,000 men have and give it a 4 out of 5 star review. It also looks like the company is fairly responsive to customers, as one complaint had the CEO responding. It looks like the majority of the negative reviews are based on update issues, but overall it appears to be a great app."

"Tinder is ubiquitous, the first mobile dating app everyone thinks of. I think for that reason alone, it should be one of your first stops to link up for some one-on-one chat time, there are just bound to be more people on there than your more niche apps, especially if you don't live in a city. That said, Tinder's "gay-friendliness" has been called into question, and depending on your area, it may be more difficult to find what you're looking for. I've had more luck some times than others, so definitely give it a shot, but don't put all your eggs in the Tinder basket."

"Chatrandom is interesting. Other random chat apps do not allow you to choose the gender of the person you get connected to. It is not exclusively gay and anyone is allowed on. However, there is a subscription fee. There are also several incidents of people getting banned for little to no reason. They provide the reason and pictures of why you were banned, and sometimes it isn't even a picture of you. So they still have some glitches to work out."

"Is the app for gay people to chat? I am not sure. It is anonymous but not necessarily for gays. Maybe it is a totally straight Christian chat-room. Specificity is critical."
