Cut & Run (Cut and Run)

Cut & Run is the first book in the Cut & Run Series by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux. After some murders catch the attention of both FBI and NYPD, two special agents are assigned to the case: Ty Grady, who is cocky and unpredictable, and Zane Garrett, who is more serious and sober. These differences will create mixed feelings, that will surely be an obstacle to find out the truth about the murders.

"This book was a major disappointment. Yet again I have learnt not to trust the high star ratings on Goodreads. They just are too skewed in opinion. The ones who like the book rate it up...and most of the people who hate or dislike it don't even bother to waste their time"

"Not a lot of reviews on this book, but has a good rating. I'm not sure this would be my first choice to read. There are probably many others in this genre to choose from. "

"I am so happy that more and more authors are including diverse characters in their books! The Assignment has a gay couple at its core, which immediately made this book more interesting to me. They aren't treated as tokens, but respectfully written as fully rounded characters. Incredibly steamy and pulsing with desire, this books really had me gripped in anticipation to see if they could finally come together. "

"Eh, I could take or leave this book. Don't get me wrong, the premise is fantastic and I welcome more gay relationships in this genre of books. However, the mystery overshadows pretty much anything with the romance and the mystery itself isn't that enthralling. The beginning is also very slow and if you weren't determined to push through it, you might have put it down already. I may be in the minority, but this story didn't grab me as much and didn't persuade me to read the rest of the series."

""Dirty Kiss" is a romance/mystery book. It is a gay romance novel so it is more for the homosexual crowd. The book however, is very well written and has fully deveoped characters. It is funny and entertaining. The relationship between the characters is well portrayed as are the cultural differences and the difficulties that these differences create, especially in a Gay relationship. "
