Whether you consider yourself as one of the straight people or a member of an LGBT+ community, learning to appreciate and understand the differences of one another is always important. Otherwise, there will be conflict or misunderstanding. Interestingly, we're living in a diverse world and not everyone we meet has the same views as ours. But with various forms of entertainment such as motion pictures and television series, we get to watch and learn that it is okay to be different. Aside from that, we also understand things we have no idea about in the first place. Sometimes, we even relate to what a fictional character is going through.

Meanwhile, the visibility of TV shows with queer characters is increasing. Whether they play a supporting role or one of the protagonists, gay characters starring in a television series will always be entertaining to watch. In addition, these TV series teach us how to view others and ourselves, or better understand sexual orientation. So, if you’re looking for TV shows with gay characters, or you’re simply an LGBT+ viewer, then you’ve come to the right place! We’ve listed down some of the upcoming TV shows for you to be excited about this 2020. Some of these TV shows are available to watch very soon, while some can be watched in the second half of the year. In the meantime, you can enjoy watching Netflix's newly-released AJ and the Queen first or The CW's Katy Keene!
