"Back when Godzilla was taken seriously as a symbol for nuclear annihilation. Godzilla emerged from the sea after nuclear bombs were tested. He is, in essence, a giant walking nuclear disaster. The Godzilla sequels just became ridiculous and childish. This is the best Godzilla movie ever, no doubt about it. "

"Sweet money shots of Tokyo being obliterated. Godzilla here starts out as an ugly limbless motherf****r that mutates into the giant monster we all know. I think this Godzilla is the most destructive and badass one out of all his incarnations. His atomic breath was incredible. The city being demolished looked jaw-droppingly real!"

"This movie had so much potential. It could have been easily fixed by showing us more Godzilla instead of relegating him to a glorified cameo role. He was practically onscreen for only 15 minutes. That's the number 1 sin that you can commit in a Godzilla movie: show less of him. People pay to see the King of Monsters and not some boring human drama. With that said this movie was still able to deliver the goods. All the monster scenes were spectacular (a tad murky though) and his brawls with the Mutos easily makes this the best American Godzilla movie ever (no real competition though). "

"The supreme Godzilla monsters smackdown of all time. Everyone shows up: Ghidora, Mothra, Rodan, tiny baby dinosaur! Delightfully deranged with a blend of kaiju action and martial arts. You read that right. It's so outrageously bad and cheap-looking that it's good. Half the time I couldn't believe how crazy this movie is. Highly recommended!"

"Enjoyable Godzilla movie in spite of incredibly cheesy effects and all around bad acting. I couldn't stop laughing every time the actors screamed Destroyah. The name is so ridiculous. 😂"

"So I'm really excited for Godzilla: King of Monsters and I decided to watch the original kaiju crossover event. I think GMK (d*mn such a long title) is the best Godzilla movie ever. Sure, it's cheesy as hell with over-the-top acting you always get from Toho movies, but Godzilla here is the bad guy and I think that's when he's at his best. I really don't like good-guy 'Zilla. A great classic Godzilla movie. "
