DID YOU KNOW?
The first ever web browser was born back in 1990? W3C Director Tim Berners-Lee invented it and called it " WorldWideWeb". It caused too much confusion with the World Wide Web as the time. It was thus renamed to "Nexus" instead. It was not until 5 years later that Microsoft's Internet Explorer. It was the most popular choice during that the time. This was when web browsers were starting to gain mainstream appeal and recognition. Apple released its own web browser made for their Mac computers called Safari in 2003. Mozilla Firefox released a year later, replacing the outgoing Netscape Navigator. 2008 marked a great milestone for web browsers with the release of Google's Chrome. It went on to become one of the best browsers in the market for its speed and clean UI.
The coming years saw the development of modern PC browsers for different needs. There were lightweight browsers for the fastest experience possible. There were feature-rich ones for the best customization options. These have been trickling down to mobile platforms as browser apps as well. Google's Chrome browser is still heralded as one of the best in the market. It's so popular that various Chrome theme creator apps and tools released for it. This is to give users a little more flexibility and customization options.
