"The features of the Fitbit Alta are great, and it's helped me to increase my activity levels. However, be sure that you order a spare band right away, because my original one failed within a month. Luckily I didn't lose it, but I expected more for my wristband durability."

"This is a good device, but not for the elderly. It is bulky and expensive. You are paying for a lot of features you don't need."

"While the price isn't bad, since it's only a mid-level Fitbit device, and it definitely has GPS tracking capabilities, I don't think this makes sense for the elderly. The GPS functions require a phone, and at that point I think this has become too complicated and inconvenient for the elderly. If you know your old person can figure out how to use it then this is fine. But I'm guessing that's a step too far for most. Something simpler and more designed for that purpose must exist and must be better than this."

"This is nice Fitbit in terms of all the features, and the appearance of it is pleasant and sleek-looking. The price is decent for these tracking bracelets, as I got mine for 250 dollars. However as an older person, I found this tracker very difficult to read. The read-out display and watch face are not really a fit for elderly eyes and vision. I think this is a young person's gadget."
