"I never really thought about it before, but there aren't that many graphic novels created by women. I guess a lot of women aren't really into that sort of thing. I, however, love to read graphic novels, and Nimona is definitely one of the best. It is just kind of a bonus that it was created by a woman."

"It's definitely one of those coming to age type book, growing up fro experience type of books but in a fictional and illustrated way. The illustrations are really cool and simple in my opinion and demonstrated the emotions and attitudes of the characters very well. overall it is a great book. At first you feel compassion for the ghost and really care about her until you realise who she really was and then you start feeling sad for Anya. "

"I was interested in buying a comic book written, drawn, or edited by a woman, because there's so few working in the field of comics. I came across this in my searches and I was pleasantly surprised at what a great, fun read it was. The art is amazing, the writing is contemporary and feels relevant to today, the characters are fully developed and not just simple caricatures of villains and heroes. I will eagerly continue reading the entire run of this series, not only to support women creating comics, but because its an excellent comic in its own right."

"Robot Dreams is a surprise. From looking at the simple illustrations on the front cover, one would not think this book goes below the intellectual or emotional surface. But don't be fooled, it does. The story challenges you to rethink what you value in relationships. The narrative is about the friendship between a dog and a robot. It deals with the themes of loyalty, rejection, guilt and self-worth. It is amazing that a book with rather simple artwork and basically no words can involve such complicated and involved themes. The ending is not predictable, and I found myself wishing that is was. I give this book four stars because I think the ending should have been different; but I do recommend it."
