Plus, nowadays you can stream what you think is the best Harry Potter movie on demand. As a celebration of this amazing movie franchise, we've come up with a list of Harry Potter movies ranked. Let us know which ones you think should be at the top!
If it wasn't for the success of the first film, then the following films wouldn't have made much of an impact. A lot was riding on this initial film and it did not disappoint. The Philosopher's Stone captures almost as much magic as the novel. Plus, Warner Bros. did amazing with almost the entire cast!
After the slightly childish tone of the first two films, things made a much darker turn in the Prisoner of Azkaban. The kids started to grow up and the film has this creepy aesthetic to it with a more immersive atmosphere. It definitely brought the magic of the Harry Potter series to life and made it much more realistic.
If the first film was the introduction, the second film is where the action gets going. It features events like meeting Dobby, destroying the first Horcrux, and discovering Harry can speak parseltongue. It's a pretty memorable film given that it's the longest one in the franchise. Still, a lot of awesome things happened in the Chamber of Secrets.
This film's highlight is none other than Snape and his misunderstood identity. Underneath the image of a tortured and lovesick potions master, you had a hero just laying in wait. His full redemption isn't unveiled until the final entry in the series, fans are treated to the spectacle of Alan Rickman as Severus.
