"I was always told how Harry Potter is a higher-level for young adults, but I was honestly unimpressed with it, and so was my son. The first books in the series are children's books, and while the later ones are better in that regard, they just weren't for me or for my son. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Harry Potter is a bad series - but it is a children's series, and if you're interested in reading at a high level, read Lord of the Rings or some other higher-level epic fantasy. This isn't it."

"It is still amazing that this series was written by someone so young. This is an interesting fantasy story and perfect for teens and young adults. I still get the feeling in the back of my mind that I have read it all before as his books have stolen from nearly every other dragon/fantasy series around. A little here, a little there and whoops, we have a new series about dragons that smacks of everything else ever written about them! While not actually plagerizing, the ideas, plots and some characters were certainly lifted, however skillfully. It never the less is a well written tale that is a fun read. One of the most interesting aspects of his books is his creative development of various "languages". It will be fun to see how he winds this up in the next book."

"I don't know if I would call this a high level reading book, but the book was good nonetheless. The story was interesting, and it got me hooked right away. I would recommend this book anyway if you're looking for something to read, because it's a wonderful book."

"I was glancing through this for my son, who has been having some difficulties with more complex reading exercises. It's well written, but I'm a bit concerned about some of the content. It really seems to get into slut-shaming territory, making it seem as if a woman can't have wants and needs, and how it's some terrible secret if she acts on those. "

"The Hobbit is most definitely a very good book, though it is not particularly hard to read for adults and most other age groups. This particular edition also looks nice - many editions of this story are available, but it's typically best to just get a modern, popular one unless you are a collector. I would definitely say that, even if it is not that challenging, it makes up for that by being highly enjoyable."

"this is an awesome paperback book with a beautiful story. It made me feel like I was in the battle and was fighting for my district. I loved the story. I cannot stress it enough!!! Katniss is a great character that empowers women and made me feel very strong and highly connected to her. It is a great high level reading book, i actually felt challenged which does not usually happen with these type of stories! "
