"If you are looking for a historical take on Romance, this book provides a thrill and a trip to the past. I read the reviews for the story and they seem to praise it very well, however, I would personally rather read Romeo and Juliet."

"Born in Sin (MacAllister Series) is a book that constantly keeps you guessing. Just when I thought I had it figured out there would be an unexpected twist or turn. There are some really descriptive locations as well that make the setting very interesting."

""Outlander" proved be a decent historical romance novel with a tortured hero. The time traveling element really creates a magical aura which is a perfect backdrop for this love story. The book had points where it seemed to lack explanation but overall it was entertaining."

"Julia Quinn is a great romance writer and The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever is an excellent first book in the series. The heroine of this book never gives up on love and knows at a young age what her destiny will be. This is told in Victorian times and all the characters are easy to get attached to. I think romance book readers will enjoy this one."

" I was a bit disappointed in this book. Having read the other four books in the series, I was expecting something a bit more dramatic than your typical romance novel with a tortured hero. It was easy to read, but the story line was just too predictable for my taste. It is quite a disappointment since I have read the others. It could be because I binged read the entire series in a month. Regardless, I was expecting a bit more from the author. If you are fine with your typical romance, then this is still a good read. "

"It took me a long time to get through this book. There were long boring parts and I didn't care much about the characters. In truth the only reason I finished it is because it bothers me to not finish reading a book once I start it. Not much of a page turner in my opinion. "

"This historical romance fiction book is a great read and it fits the classic mold of a tortured main character or hero that has a romantic story backdrop. I would read this to kill time and take in the great story and I think it falls into that classic book you read on down time."
