""Heartless" didn't really strike my fancy. In looking for a historical romance with a pregnant heroine, I stumbled on this. Personally, I didn't care for this one due to the lack of balance of historical context. It was too heavy on the romance funny enough."

"I liked the first half of the book but it kind of lost me in the second half. The story got bogged down I thought with too much drama. I couldn't accept some of the choices made by the characters. It just didn't ring true."

There a few twists and surprises in the book but they are not going to change your mind that this is just a regular romance book that you can find in every book shelf."

"For a romance novel, this story is spot on. The hero was gruff, but sensitive. The heroine was tough but tender. The romance scenes were steamy. However, the heroine was not pregnant, so this novel did not fully meet the topic of best historical romance with a pregnant heroine."

After that, he leaves town and comes back and is upset that he has to marry her. Yeah, let's get a woman pregnant and then treat her like dirt because you have to take care of your responsibilities.
