"This book is absolutely chilling. It really does give the word "suspense" a new meaning. It is dark, unique, and hellish. It paints such a vivid picture of the setting that you'll almost start to believe the events."

"I love me some Stephen King books! This is not his best work but it's definitely a good one. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and takes you in. What is lacking is some of the characters in it. Not really the best of his books, but not horrible. "

"The Surgeon was a terrifying book to this individual. I don't know if it was the quality of writing or the exceptional dialogue. Most likely, this story scared me because of my own fears at night. I have for many years lay awake in bed, and I imagine sounds inside and outside of my house. This book's villain is one that gets people at their most vulnerable: when they are peacefully asleep. Nothing can be more frightening to me, so my imagination was captured with this story."

"Jaws is a great book. Funny enough, this is one of my favorite beach reads, despite the obvious issues it might cause regarding how afraid I am of what is below the ocean's waves. The thrills are real, and the horror of being attacked by a shark is captured very well. I love this book and I read it over and over. I highly recommend it!"

"Kill the Messenger is the best suspense novel filled with murder, mystery, and suspense. This novel was highly recommended to me since I was looking for something interesting to read. Thus I wasn't disappointed at all when I picked up this novel since I didn't put it down at all once I read a few chapters. Although this book is split between various scene the life of Jace and the detective whose trying to solve the case during the death of Jace one shouldn't let it bother you. It's a quite fast pacing novel to read. Would highly recommend."
