"My mother-in-law lives in South Florida and we tend to visit her quite a bit. During hurricane season we are always on high alert and try to pay attention to forecasts to plan our trips. My wife really wanted a good site to use for hurricane tracking, so I did a quick search for the best tracker for windows. I immediately found the AccuWeather Hurricane Tracker and was instantly impressed. It allows in depth tracking of the tropics and helps ease our minds for traveling during hurricane season. "

"With hurricane Harvey and Irma, I have been quite interested in tracking hurricanes and I was able to do this with an app called Windy. It works great on my android phone. But I am not sure if this is even available as an app for the Windows platform or Apple. So this probably isn't your best option if you have a Windows phone or want this on any of your Windows devices."

"Storm Radar is an awesome app to have in any time of any major weather event, like a hurricane. It gives you a lot of different tools like radars and local storm updates. It's a very comprehensive tool to have as it covers the basics and more that anyone in a bad weather situation would need to know. I'd highly recommend it to anyone - not just those presently in a dangerous situation - as a preventative tool to stay up to date."

"I love The Weather Channel app. It let me track the incoming hurricane in Texas as it made landfall close to some family members. I was able to see that while the hurricane did get close to them it didn't run right over the top of them. The app gave me a little piece of mind knowing this."

"WeatherBug is my favorite weather app. It not only tracks hurricanes but tornados and any severe weather. It even has a lightening strike locater so you know when it is safe to go back outside. This is one of the first apps I download when I get a new phone. This will be your only weather app."

"With Hurricane Irma on the way, I wanted a great hurricane tracker. Radarscope is for Android phones and it works okay. It's good for real-time tracking and narrowing in on just what you want to track. But the app crashes and you have to pay to get more advanced features which is annoying."
