BTS is currently at the peak but there are also other popular Kpop groups reaching new heights. The third generation of Kpop shows promising talent with both Kpop girl and boy groups. Some of the popular girl groups today include BLACKPINK, Twice, and Red Velvet who come from big entertainment agencies in South Korea. Respectively, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and SM Entertainment. These girl groups have broken records like sold-out stadium tours, fast-selling albums, YouTube views, and more. On the Kpop boy group side, there's EXO, GOT7, Monsta X, and NCT who have a loyal fanbase and talented members who are globally recognized. These are only the Kpop groups of the third generation. Both senior Kpop groups and rookies are still another foundation that builds the popularity of Kpop music today.
2NE1 was a K-pop girl group that was active from the time they were formed in 2009 by YG until the time they disbanded in 2016. The members of the popular girl group were Bom, Dara, CL, and Minzy.
